Clinton "Paul" SWINK was born on 6 July 1948 in Caldwell County, North Carolina. He died on 8 November 2006 at the age of 58 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. He was buried in Brookford Cemetery, Catawba County, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - Clinton "Paul" Swink, 58, of Swink Trail, Vale, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley after a period of declining health. Born July 6, 1948, in Caldwell County, he was a son of Clinton Leroy Swink of Mountain City, Tenn., and Verlie Hamby Craig of Hickory. He attended Unity Missionary Baptist Church and was employed by Lake Electric. He was preceded in death by an infant son. Survivors include his wife, Janice Crump Swink of the home; three sons, Scott Swink of Newton, Michael Swink of Granite Falls and Lewis Swink and wife, Sandra, of Claremont; his father, Clinton Leroy Swink of Mountain City, Tenn.; his mother, Verlie Hamby Craig of Hickory; a brother, David Swink and wife, Rose, of Vale; two sisters, Carolyn S. Cook and husband, Cecil, of Maiden and Mary S. Price of Boone; his mother-in-law, Shirley M. Crump of Hickory; two stepdaughters, Renae Reinhardt and Tania Hubbard of Newton; a stepson, Chris Hubbard of Newton; and eight grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted by the Revs. Greg Grant and Rex Thomas at 2 p.m. Friday at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Brookford City Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 tonight. Memorials may be made to Blue Grass Gospel Tones, in memory of the Rev. Max Crump, P.O.
