5306. Rev. Richard Yount ROSEMAN was born on 19 April 1934.¹²²⁴ He died on 5 October 2006 at the age of 72 in Plantation Key, Monroe County, Florida. He was buried in Conover City Cemetery, Conover, Catawba, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - The Rev. Richard Yount Roseman, 72, of Plantation Key, Fla., was called to his eternal home Oct. 5. Reverend Roseman, a native of Hickory, had served as pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church of the Upper Keys for the last 23 of his 42 years in the ministry. Reverend Roseman was educated at Lenoir-Rhyne College, the University of South Carolina at Columbia and Concordia Theological Seminary. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was an active member of the Key Players and a member of the Upper Keys Ministerial Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Delores Miserez Roseman; his parents, Floyd and Alma Roseman; a brother, Robert; and sister, Margie Ruth. He is survived by two sisters, Martha Hunt (Jimmy) Bolick and Libby Roseman Fulbright of Hickory; and four daughters, Angela Delores Burgess of Miami, Fla., married to Christopher, and mother of grandson, Mark, and granddaughter, Tabetha; Krystal Marie Bishop-O'Byrne of Tampa, Fla., married to Sean, and mother of granddaughters Miriya and Selene; Melodie Renee Starr of Plantation Key, Fla., married to Allen, and mother of granddaughters, Krysten and Kathryn; and Valerie Noel Roseman of Plantation Key, Fla. A viewing was held Monday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with services following at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 1139, Tavernier, Fla. 33070. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Conover City Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Schwandt officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church in Hickory. Bass-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family of the Rev. Richard Yount Roseman.
