She was a member of Grace Reformed United Church of Christ in Newton, the Women's Guild, Southern Bell Pioneers and Good Earth Garden Club. In addition to her parents, her husband, Daniel Noah Yoder; three brothers, William, George and Ralph Setzer; and a sister, Cathryn McRee, preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Phillip Yoder and wife, Mary, of Newton; a daughter, Judy Geitner and husband, Mark, of Hickory; three grandsons, Doug Yoder and wife, Teresa, and John Geitner and wife, Kathryn, all of Hickory, and David Yoder and wife, Becky, of Newton; a granddaughter, Brooke Robbins and husband, Joe, of Statesville; a sister, Maude McRee of Newton; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Grace Reformed United Church of Christ in Newton, with the Revs. Jim Luck and Larry Bolick officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory. The family will receive friends tonight, Tuesday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Burke Mortuary in Newton, and at other times at the home of Phillip Yoder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Claude Yoder, Harry Yoder, Roy Yoder and Marvin Yoder; four sisters, Hettie Mowery, Lura Bell Bollinger, Bessie Silvey and Bertie Reep. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Grace Reformed United Church of Christ in Newton with Dr. Thomas Hamilton officiating. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers include Kendall Yoder and members of the Newton Lions Club. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Reformed United Church of Christ, and other times at the residence of Phillip Yoder, 744 S. Main Ave., Newton.
