2871. Kitty Luetta LAIL was born on 12 July 1910 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 20 August 2006 at the age of 96 in Valley Nursing Center, Taylorsville, North Carolina. She was buried in St. Luke's Lutheran Church Cemetery on Houston Mill Road, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: TAYLORSVILLE - Kitty Luetta Lail Cazire, 96, of Conover, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville. She was born July 12, 1910, to John Hubert Lail and Lola Essie Killian Lail in Catawba County. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Arnold Cazire; three children, Charles Cazire, Earl Cazire and Louise Tutherow; three brothers, Wade, Hubert and Carroll Lail; and two sisters, Nettie Starr and Gracie Keller. Kitty was a longtime member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Conover. She loved her Lord and shared her faith with friends and family. Also, she loved flower gardening and family get-togethers. She worked as a sewer in the furniture industry. Loved ones left to cherish her memory include three children, Geneva Shepard and husband, Vine, Dorothy Hedrick and husband, Fred, and Ralph Cazire and wife, Brenda Sigmon Cazire, all of Conover; a brother, Harold Lail of Hickory; two sisters, Myrtle Lail of Hickory and Irene Michaels of Catawba; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; along with a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Conover. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., also at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jeff Lindsey will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
