Lorene FINCANNON was born on 7 May 1927 in Alexander County, North Carolina. She died on 27 November 2012 at the age of 85 in Taylorsville, Alexander County, North Carolina. She was buried in Friendship Lutheran Church Cemetery, Taylorsville, Alexander County, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: TAYLORSVILLE Lorene Fincannon Fox, 85, of Taylorsville, passed away at home Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012. She was born May 7, 1927, in Alexander County, to the late Thomas Fincannon and Martha Lou Burgess Fincannon. On March 29, 1947, she married Wade Samuel Fox, who preceded her in death, Aug. 24, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Henderson; five sisters, Effie Bost, Edna Eckard, Clara Faircloth, Berlie Fox, and Mary Tucker; three brothers, Arthur Lee Fincannon, Odell Fincannon and Willie Ingram. She was a retired textile employee from Carolina Glove Company. She was a member of Friendship Lutheran Church, where she had been a member of the Builders Sunday School Class, Women of the ELCA and Social Ministry Committee. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Henderson, Stony Point; son, Wendell Fox and wife, Terri, of Cornelius; granddaughter, Carey Lynn Balok and husband, Stephen, of Huntersville; grandson, Andrew Fox and wife, Kelsey, of Cornelius; great-granddaughter, Reese Balok and brother David Chapman, of Taylorsville. She was also survived by her little companion, Mandy. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Friendship Lutheran Church, with the Revs. Todd Rauscher and Phil Thorsen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Lutheran Church Family Life Center, 5300 Church Rd., Taylorsville, NC 28681; or to Gordon Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County.
