6029	i.	Jimmy Delaney FOX was born on 3 December 1934 in Iredell County, North Carolina. He died at his residence of cancer on 8 April 2005 at the age of 70 in Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina. He was buried in Eastview Cemetery, Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: NEWTON - Jimmy D. Fox, 70, of Newton, died Friday, April 8, 2005, at his residence. Born Dec. 3, 1934, in Iredell County, he was a son of the late Austin Baine Fox Sr. and Mildred Sherrill Fox. He retired as a major in the U.S. Air Force after serving 20 years. Survivors include his daughter, Joni James Fox of Maiden; a son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Brian Wade Fox and wife, Angela, of Newton; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Kaye F. Lewis and husband, Roy, and Peggy F. Johnson and husband, Terry, all of Conover, and Sylvia F. Moore and husband, Dennis, of Newton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bill R. Fox of Newton and A. Baine Fox Jr. and wife, Beverly, of Gastonia; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4 p.m. today, Sunday, April 10, 2005, at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel in Newton. The Revs. Jim Howard and Brian Fox will officiate. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 3:45 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Road, Suite 200, Charlotte, N.C. 28210.
