Her obituary appeared as follows: William “Wayne” Herman, 66, of Jay Burke Road, Taylorsville died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 24, 2012. He was born on June 22, 1946 in Alexander County to the late Andrew Flemmings Herman and Lou Ella Fox Herman. He was of the Baptist faith and was a sawmiller and farmer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Smith Herman of the home; two daughters, Wendy Herman and Sherry Herman Nivens and husband, Chuck all of Taylorsville; a son, William Herman and wife, Sonia of Taylorsville; two sisters and three brothers; two grandchildren, Tyler and Savanna Herman; a special nephew, Clarence Kissinger and wife, Lilly and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Doug Foster and Jeff Chapman.
