She was buried in Mountain View Methodist Church, Claremont, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: Margie S. Setzer, 80 of 4797 Highway 10 East, Catawba, NC, died Friday, May 10, 2002 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory after a period of declining health. She was born October 13, 1921 in Catawba County, daughter of the late Loren and Etta Watts Setzer. She was a homemaker and member of Mountain View United Methodist Church In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Survivors include: her husband: Thad Setzer of the home; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 13, 2002 at Drum Funeral Home Chapel in Conover. Rev. Dale Hilton will officiate and burial will be in the Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Neil Setzer, Stacey Thomas, Jason Queen, Scottie Murray and Marcus Kanupp. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM on Sunday at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
