Rosa Marie BOST, child of Loy Robert BOST and Rebecca GARRETT, was born on 6 November 1959 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He/she died on 27 July 2011 at the age of 51 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. His/her obituary appeared as follows: Rosa Marie Bost Poovey, age 51, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born November 6, 1959 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Loy Robert Bost II and Rebecca Garrett Bost. She is survived by: Husband: Gregory Scott Poovey of the home; Son: Daryl B. Poovey of the home; 3 Brothers: Loy R. Bost III of Hickory, James M. Bost of Hickory, and Robbie Bost and wife Michelle, and two children, Sierra and J.R. of Statesville; A number of nieces and nephews; A private memorial/Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date by the family. In the meantime, Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Poovey family. A floating receiving will be held for the family of Marie Poovey Saturday, July 30 from 1:00PM-6:00PM at the home of Ann Poovey at 33rd Avenue NE , Hickory, NC 28601. Covered dishes are welcomed as friends and family join together. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marie’s memory to Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 2760 33rd Ave. NE Newton, NC 28658.
