4258	i.	Betty Gray SPENCER was born on 6 March 1917 in Burke County, North Carolina. She died on 5 February 2010 at the age of 92 in Catawba, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery, Catawba, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CATAWBA - Betty Gray Spencer Mosteller, 76, of Catawba, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at her residence. Born June 10, 1933, in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Belle Watts Spencer. Betty was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Mosteller; twin infant daughters; two brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by a son, Bruce Mosteller and wife, Diane, of Catawba; daughter, Karen Miller and husband, Steve, of Catawba; two brothers, Quincy Spencer of Hickory and Bill Spencer of Hildebran; three sisters, Cecelia Worley and Peggy Ray, both of Hildebran, and Mary Helen Shook of Hickory; five grandchildren, Michael Mosteller, Beverly Mosteller, Miriam Crowder, Katie Williams and Anna Wilson; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Welcome Baptist Church in Catawba, with the Revs. Terry Wehunt and Ronnie Keener officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends today, Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Burke Mortuary in Newton. Memorials may be made to Welcome Baptist Church, 1178 Bolton Road, Catawba, N.C. 28609.
