He was buried in Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. His obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - Festus L. Teague, 89, of Hickory, passed away Feb. 1, 2010. Festus was born Dec. 18, 1920, in Alexander County to the late Plez Everett and Iona Bolick Teague. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lena Hall; a brother, Lindsey Teague; and a nephew. He was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, retired co-owner and operator of United Body Works and a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Naomi Guess Teague; daughters, Nina Fullwood and husband, Austin, of Bethlehem and Kaye Ullman and husband, Robert, of Raleigh; grandsons, Charles Ullman and wife, Lisa, of Fuquay-Varina, Lt. Col. Aaron Ullman of Bossier City, La., and Neil Fullwood of Hickory; four great-grandchildren; two nieces; and a nephew. Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. David Keck officiating and Vicar Scott Berry. Burial followed in Catawba Memorial Park Cemetery, with graveside military honors conducted by members of American Legion Post 48. Memorials may be made to Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2780 N.
