3904. Pauline BOWMAN was born on 1 November 1930 in Alexander County, North Carolina. She died on 20 September 2008 at the age of 77 in Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. She was buried in Shiloh Lutheran Cemetery, Alexander County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: TAYLORSVILLE - Pauline Bowman Richey, 77, of the Bethlehem community, passed away at Frye Regional Medical Center on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, following a brief illness. Born, Nov. 1, 1930, to the late Peter Theodore, "Pete" and Lottie Elizebeth Bowman in Alexander County, she was a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church and attended St. John's Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and loved, flowers, quilting and was known for her cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Harold Frye. Surviving her is her husband of 59 years, Joseph "Arnold" Richey, of the home; as well as two sons, Chris Richey and wife, Kathy, and Bradley Richey and wife, Candy, all of Bethlehem; four grandsons, Jamie Richey of Kernersville, Joey Richey of Charlotte, Kyle Richey and wife, Ashleigh, of Bethlehem and Morgan Landon Richey of the U.S. Navy. Pauline has three brothers, Ted Bowman and wife, Glenda, of Bethlehem and Lindzey Bowman and wife, Doris, and Wayne Bowman and wife, Nancy, all of Taylorsville; two sisters, LouAnn Frye and Glenda Sipe and husband, Conley, all of Taylorsville; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Shiloh Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. Dr. Charles Dixon and Glenn Yount will officiate. In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the donor's choice or the American Cancer Society 1100 Ireland Way, Suite 300, Birmingham, Ala. 35205.
