Adelia Spencer [Holler] HOLLAR was born on 10 October 1950 in Iredell County, North Carolina.1746 She died on 28 September 2008 at the age of 57 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. She was buried in Claremont City Cemetery, Claremont, NC (St. Marks & Calvary Luth.). Her obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT - Adelia Spencer Holler Bumgarner, 57, of Claremont, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born Oct. 10, 1950, in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Fredrick Holler and Gertrude Pauline Spencer Holler. Dee worked as a hairdresser for 25 years and later stayed home to keep her first grandson, Logan. She was a fun-loving, spirited person who greatly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She made many friends over the years and graciously invited them into her home and thought of them as her own family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Victoria Ann Holler and Wanda Gayle Holler Finger. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Bumgarner of Claremont; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Marian Bumgarner of Conover; a daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Jeff Kelley of Claremont; grandchildren, Logan Bumgarner of Conover, Gracie Kelley, Luke Kelley and Matthew Kelley, all of Claremont; a sister, Linda Herman and her husband, Richard, of Claremont; a brother, Jerry Holler and his wife, Carolyn, of Claremont; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Revs. Dr. Robert E. Allen and Stanley Stiver officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m., in the Family Life Center at the church.
