Leslie Carroll HERMAN was born on 27 October 1961 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 4 March 2009 at the age of 47 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - Leslie Carroll Herman, 47, of Hickory, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Herman was born Oct. 27, 1961, in Catawba County to Carroll Alexander Herman and the late Hettie Parker Herman. In addition to his father, Mr. Herman is survived by his daughter, Deborah Lee Ann Herman of Hickory; sister, Diane Huffman and husband, Keith, of Hickory; nephews, Chris Huffman and Mark Huffman; great-nephew, Duncan Huffman; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Jean Herman; paternal grandparents, Milas Ray Herman and Leona Huffman Herman; and maternal grandparents, Millard Parker and Zula Hull Parker. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Our Savior Lutheran church, with the Rev. Robert Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Building Fund, 2160 35th Ave. Drive, NE, Hickory, N.C. 28601.
