Billy Chad DELLINGER was born on 29 September 1977 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 20 November 2012 at the age of 35 in Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. He was buried in Winkler's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Burke/Catawba County, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - Billy Chad Dellinger, 35, passed away November 20, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Billy was born September 29, 1977 in Catawba Co. to Billy H. and Rita Waters Dellinger. Billy was a veteran of the U. S. Army served in the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division in Iraq. Surviving are his wife, Tia Parker Dellinger of Hickory; son, Billy Tristan Dellinger of Hickory; daughter, Lana Elise Dellinger of Hickory; parents, Billy H. & Rita Dellinger of Hickory; sister, Dana Pope and husband, Michael of Hickory; brothers, David Brian Childers of Huntersville and Bradley Dellinger of Hickory; niece, Haley Throneburg of Hickory and a nephew, Dalton Pope of Hickory. A memorial service will be Saturday, November 24, at 3:00 P.M at Winkler's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Faulkenbury and David Church officiating. Military graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #48. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:45 P. M. at the church.
