Lucy Pauline PAGE was born on 13 December 1920 in Burke County, North Carolina. She died on 8 June 2009 at the age of 88 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. She was buried in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Conover, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CONOVER - Pauline Page Lail, 88, passed away June 8, 2009, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley after a period of declining health. Pauline was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Burke County to the late Miles and Qella Aikens Page. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lail, and 10 brothers and sisters. Surviving are a son, Vernon Lail and wife, Pauline, of Newton; daughters, Sandra Hall and husband, Larry, of Hickory, Gail Deal and husband, Danny, of Claremont, Brenda Lail of Newton and Kathy Lail of Conover; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, where there will be a graveside service in the church cemetery at 4 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 9, 2009, with Dr. David M. Seymour and the Rev. Scott Bollinger officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. today, Tuesday, at the church.
