2876. Harold Edward LAIL was born on 12 November 1932 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 16 October 2009 at the age of 76 in Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care, Granite Falls, Caldwell County, NC. He was buried in Yadkin Baptist Church, Patterson, NC. His obituary appeared as follows: COLLETTSVILLE - Harold Edward Lail, 76, of Collettsville, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care in Lenoir. Born Nov. 12, 1932, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Hubard Lail and Lola Killian Lail. Harold was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church in Patterson. He was employed at Shook Builders Supply for 36 years and Caldwell Recycling Center for seven years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie L. Adkins; four brothers, Hubert, Wade, Clyde and Carroll Lail; and three sisters, Gracie Keller, Kitty Cazire and Nettie Starr. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vera Keller Lail of the home; three sons, Bobby Lail and wife, Jan, of Patterson, Michael N. Wilson of Hickory and Gary T. Wilson of Conover; two daughters: Lisa L. Voorhees and husband, Don, of Nashville, Tenn., and Debbie W. Self and husband, Allen, of Claremont; two sisters, Irene L. Michaels of Maiden and Myrtle L. Lail of Hickory; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at Yadkin Baptist Church in Patterson, with the Revs. Guy Widner and Darrell Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Monday at the church, prior to the service.
