Her obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - Mary Huffman Bolch, loving wife, mother and grandmother, was able to touch the face of Jesus Tuesday morning, Jan. 26, 2010. Born March 29, 1932, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Jefferson E. Huffman and Lottie Isabella Kaylor Huffman. Mrs. Bolch was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, where she served on the altar guild. She retired as an office employee of JC Penney Co. Her greatest passion was love for her family, friends and the Lord. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bolch was preceded in death by her son, David Bolch; sisters, Louise Huffman, Nell Lutz and Frankie Pruitt; and brother, Harvey Huffman. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Marion E. Bolch; daughters, Dana B. Lingerfelt and Sharon B. Voorhees and husband, Richard; son, Tim Bolch and wife, Karla, all of Hickory; grandchildren, Chad and Jennifer Lingerfelt, Kevin and Erica Lingerfelt, Kim and Jon Bradberry, Stephanie and Nathan Lester, Jason Voorhees, Michael Voorhees, Mary Bolch and Alex Bolch; great-grandchildren, Scott and Laila Lingerfelt, Kaden Lingerfelt, Landon and Kira Bradberry, Jacob and Chelsea Lester and Lucas Voorhees; and sisters, Shirley Fisher and husband, Guy, Virginia Anderson, Betty Owen and Lois Isenhour. A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, with the Revs. David Guelzow and David Ziehr officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. A family graveside service will be held prior to the service in St. Stephens Lutheran Church Cemetery.
