Naomi Pearl HUFFMAN, daughter of Avery Roscoe HUFFMAN and Eva Maude DRUM, was born on 29 September 1920 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 14 October 1982 at the age of 62 in Maiden, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Maiden City Cemetery, Maiden, Catawba County, North Carolina.

Avery Eugene SETZER and Janie WILLIAMS were married on 14 May 1983. Janie WILLIAMS was born on 7 December 1924 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina. She died on 8 August 2011 at the age of 86 in Abernethy Laurels, Newton, North Carolina. She was buried in Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: Janie Williams Hass Setzer, 86, of Newton died Monday, August 8, 2011 at Abernethy Laurels. Born December 7, 1924 in Spartanburg S.C., she was the daughter of the late Claude and Oma Williams. She was a very active member of North Newton Baptist Church and the Carolina Mills Quarter Century Club. She retired from Carolina Mills after dedicating 30 years there. Ms. Janie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She loved traveling and caring for others. She also loved cooking and having large family gatherings at her home. She was well known for her delicious desserts and huge family gatherings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Glenn K. Hass and A. Eugene Setzer; son, G. Wayne Hass; and brothers, J.D. Williams, and Ben H. Williams. Survivors include her son, Dennis Hass and wife, Pat of Newton; grandchildren, Denise Hass of Newton, and Doug Lowman of Lenior; great-grandchildren, Joshua Lowman of Lenior, Elijah Hass of Newton, and Brianna Glaspy of Newton; sisters, Louella Evans of Newton, Lorene Wilson of Mill Springs, Nethlee Burgess of Newton, and Marie White of Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton. Rev. Floyd King will officiate. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to North Newton Baptist Church 316 West 21st Street Newton, NC 28658. The Setzer family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.
