3250. Alice LUTZ was born on 8 March 1916 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 26 August 2011 at the age of 95 in Little Flower Assisted Living Center, Charlotte, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: Alice Lutz Seitz, 95, passed away at the Little Flower Assisted Living on Friday morning, August 26, 2011. She was born in Catawba County, NC to William Raymond Lutz and Bessie Bost Lutz on March 8, 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lee Roy Seitz, who passed away on April 8, 1996. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Philip, Floyd, Frank and James Lutz, and a sister Lucille Bumgarner. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia S. Barnette (Dickie) of Mooresville, NC, and sons, W. Floyd Seitz (Ginny) of Charlotte, and R. Eugene Seitz (Joyce) of Coral Springs, FL. brother W. R. Lutz, Jr. of Newton, NC.; grandchildren, Shelley S. Holland (Dereck) of Matthews, NC, Steven M. Seitz of Charlotte, Jeffrey Seitz of Brandon, FL, James Seitz of Coral Springs, FL, and Gary Seitz of Brownsburg, IN. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Jerusha Seitz of Tallahassee, FL, Julia and Jeffrey Seitz of Anderson,IN, and her "little sunshine", Charlotte Holland, of Matthews. Alice was a very talented seamstress who made dresses, cheerleader outfits, bridesmaid dresses and wedding gowns. She retired from Ledford's Department Store in 1989. She was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was an active member until 2008. The family thanks all the staff at The Little Flower Assisted Living for the care and kindness shown to our mother during the last eleven months. We also want to thank the Hospice team who took special care of her in recent months - Faheemah and Linde – you were special to our family. Thank you for everything. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 29, 2011 at Forest Lawn West Chapel with Pastor Elisa Renae Ashley officiating. Receiving will begin at 10:15 AM until 10:45 AM. A private burial will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2422 Ashley Road, Charlotte, NC 28208; or Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 E.
