She died on 13 March 2012 at the age of 91 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. She was buried in Conover City Cemetery, Conover, Catawba, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT Annie Schell Propst Shook, 91, of Claremont, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born Aug. 19, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles Everette Schell and Lizzie Leona Parker Schell. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Claremont, and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Ray Propst and her second husband, Marvin George Shook; daughter, Sylvia Propst White and an infant daughter; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Shull, Willie Pauline Killian; brothers, Everette Schell, Clifford Schell and Charles Ray Schell. Survivors include a sister, Glenna Schell Pope of Claremont, and a number of nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with the Revs. Gary Haddock and Paul Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Conover City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, P.O.
