3653. Harvey Uriah HUFFMAN was born on 4 July 1915 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died of an apparent heart attack on 29 November 1968 at the age of 53 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He was buried in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hickory, NC.

Harvey Uriah HUFFMAN and Mary Ethel BAIRD were married estimated 1939. Mary Ethel BAIRD was born on 12 March 1921 in Jefferson, Georgia. She died on 28 April 2012 at the age of 91 in Valley Nursing Center, Taylorsville, North Carolina. She was buried in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hickory, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY-Mary Ethel Baird Huffman 91, formerly of Hickory passed away on Saturday, April 28,2012 at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville after a period of declining health. Mary was born on March 12, 1921 in Jefferson Georgia to the late H.C. and Cora Ella Stover Baird In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Uriah Huffman, granddaughter, Denise Huffman, three sisters, Sadie Hunt, Clara Miller, Nell Sigmon and three brothers, Hershall Baird Jr., Theron "Pete"Baird and Bud Baird. After Mrs. Huffman's retirement from Hickory Fry Furniture, she discovered a love for quilting and taught herself how to make beautiful quilts as a hobby. She was a loving, caring and devoted mother, grandmother and great- grandmother and was a member of St Stephens Lutheran Church MO-Synod. She is survived by; two sons, Harvey Ray Huffman amd wife Nancy of Sherrills Ford, Johnny Wayne Huffman and wife, Diane of Hickory, grandchildren, Terri Elliott and husband Steve of Hickory, Michael Huffman and wife Christina of New York, Tim Huffman and wife Paula of Lenoir, Ryan Huffman and wife, Dawn of Hickory, Great-grandchildren, Jennifer Odom, Melissa Rudicil, Makayla Huffman, Gavin Huffman, Mallory Huffman, Hayden Huffman and a brother, Bill Baird of Hiddenite. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday May 1, 2012 at St Stephens Lutheran Church MO- Synod with the Reverend David Guelzow officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 1,2012 from 11:00 AM until 12:15 PM at the church. Condolences may be made online at www.hickoryfh.com.
