Margaret LAIL was born on 6 June 1928 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 29 October 2012 at the age of 84 in Taylorsville, Alexander County, North Carolina. She was buried in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Conover, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: TAYLORSVILLE Margaret Lail Deal, 84, of Conover, passed away at her residence Monday evening, Oct. 29, 2012. She was born June 6, 1928, to the late Clifford P. and Hettie Huffman Lail. Margaret was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Conover and served on the Alter Guild and Women's Circle Group. She was the former owner of Deal Fabric Shop in Conover and always helped Harold with his involvement in family businesses. Mrs. Deal was a homemaker and was a very special wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her three sisters, Willie Mae Huffman, Hazel Sigmon and Annie Ray Propst; and her mother and father-in-law, Cullen and Ora Deal. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 67 years, Harold E. Deal, of the home; her children, Dana Isenhour, of Conover and Lee Deal and wife, Wanda, of Taylorsville; one sister, Marie Huffman; and one brother, Robert Lail and wife, Jeanette, both of Hickory; her grandchildren, Kelly Isenhour and wife, Denise, Christy Deal Bryant and husband, Scott, Shannon Isenhour, Doug Deal, and Brandon Isenhour and wife, Katie; and her great-grandchildren, Tristen Pennell, Dakota Deal, Thaxton Isenhour, Savannah Isenhour, Karlee Bryant, Faith Isenhour and Spencer Isenhour. The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 1, from 1 to 2:45 p.m., at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Conover. The service will follow at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Scott Bollinger will be officiating. Pallbearers will include Kelly Isenhour, Shannon Isenhour, Doug Deal, Dakota Deal, Scott Bryant and Brandon Isenhour. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church at 4420 County Home Rd., Conover, NC 28613 or to Catawba Regional Hospice at 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
