Clifford Lamar PRICE was born on 12 December 1932 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 10 December 2012 at the age of 79 in Brian Center East, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. He was buried in May's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Newton, NC. His obituary appeared as follows: MAIDEN Clifford Lamar Price, 79, of Maiden passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Brian Center East, Hickory. Born, Dec. 12, 1932, in Catawba Co., he was the son of the late Clyde Price and the late Emma Jenkins Price. Clifford was a member of Mays Chapel United Methodist Church, Maiden, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post 240 and a self-employed truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Moses Price, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Gaye and Ted Kurz, of Hickory; one granddaughter: Cheryl Lowe, of Yellow Springs, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Haught and Carson Haught; two brothers, Charles Price, and Glenn Price, both of Maiden; two sisters, Betty Ballew, of Maiden, and Geraldine Hahn, of Newton; and special friend, Ronny Lowe, of Maiden. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel, Maiden with Pastor Warren Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at Mays Chapel UMC Cemetery, Maiden.
