Her obituary appeared as follows: CONOVER Frances Kathleen Baker Ikerd, 69, of Conover passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born July 10, 1943, she was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Ruby Baker; and sister, Darlene Annette Baker. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Zane Ikerd, of the home; daughter, Amanda Ikerd, of the home; sister, Willine Austin and husband, Clarence, of Hickory; four brothers, Jerry Baker, of Conover, Garry Baker, of Conover, Leon Baker and wife, Ramona, of Conover, and Seth Baker and wife, Brenda, of Asheville; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held today (Tuesday, Oct. 9), at 10 a.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Conover, with Pastor Scott Johnson officiating.
