Phyllis Ann WATTS, daughter of Wilmer WATTS and Ernestine GILBERT, was born on 27 April 1940 in Gaston County, North Carolina. She died on 20 December 2005 at the age of 65 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows:2670 HICKORY - Phyllis Ann Wagner, 65, of Hickory, was called home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born April 27, 1940, in Gaston County, she was a daughter of the late Wilmer and Ernestine Watts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Princess Walker, Mary Watson, Clara Johnson and Wilma Harbinson; and two brothers, Billy Watts and Wesley Watts. Survivors include her husband, Jack McDonald Wagner of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Kim Wagner of Hickory; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Greg Caldwell and Jackie and Chris Fowler of Hickory; four grandchildren, Avery and Malia Wagner and Brittany and Christopher Caldwell of Hickory; a brother, William Watts of Granite Falls; a sister, Jewell Liton of Statesville; and several nieces and nephews. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be from Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, Senior Adults Sunday school class. Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations is providing professional services to the Wagner family.
