3525	ii.	Nevette Ural POOVEY was born on 20 March 1931 in Catawba County, North Carolina.²¹²⁸ He died on 23 November 1997 at the age of 66 in Catawba County, North Carolina.²¹²⁹
3526	iii.	Howard Franklin POOVEY was born on 11 March 1938 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 1 February 2009 at the age of 70 in Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. He was buried in Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. His obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - Howard Franklin Poovey, 70, of Hickory, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 1, 2009, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Howard was born March 11, 1938, in Catawba County to the late Ural F. and Estelle Propst Poovey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry L. Poovey, Nevette U. Poovey and Arnold D. Poovey. He was a lifelong member of Millers Lutheran Church and owner-operator of Slumbertime Bedrooms Inc. and also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are a brother, Ronald B. Poovey and wife, Roxy, of Hickory; nieces, Pamela Poovey Burns and husband, Jim, and Kristie Poovey, all of Hickory; nephews, Mark Poovey of Vale, Keith Poovey and wife, Michelle, of Granite Falls and Danny Poovey and wife, Sheila, and Jeff Poovey, all of Hickory. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at Millers Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Bob Alle officiating. Interment will follow in Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight, Tuesday, at Hickory Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Millers Lutheran Church, 2280 12th Ave., NE, Hickory, N.C. 28601 or to one's choice of charity. Hickory Funeral Home, 1031 11th Ave. Blvd., SE, is in charge of arrangements.
