602. George London HERMAN¹³²⁵ was born on 21 September 1887 in Catawba County, North Carolina.^978,1326 He died on 25 May 1969 at the age of 81 in Catawba County, North Carolina. As a young man, London hand-printed a newspaper and sold it in the community. He then was called by the U.S. Military to serve in World War I. After returning home from military service, his interest in printing took him into special training. He then worked as a linotypist for Biltmore Press Company in Asheville, N.C. until he retired. He then moved to Charlotte where he worked part-time for the Charlotte Observer until his health failed. George and Ida Mae are buried in Amity Gardens, Charlotte, N.C.
