Eunice HOLLAR was born on 17 June 1926 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 12 March 2009 at the age of 82 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hickory, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - Eunice Hollar Miller, 82, of Hickory, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009, at her residence. Born June 17, 1926, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Obed Craig Hollar and Lula Kaylor Hollar. Mrs. Miller was a lifetime member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church-Mo. Synod. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard C. Hollar, and a sister, Mrs. J.W. (Mary) Sipe. She is survived by two sons, Mike Miller and Tim Miller, both of Hickory; a grandson, Michael G. Miller and wife, Amanda, of Bethlehem; two sisters, Mrs. E.C. (Gladys) Mullen and Joyce Leibert, both of Hickory; two brothers, Melvin Hollar of Belair, Md., and Kenneth Hollar and wife, Marlyn, of Hickory; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2009, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church-Mo. Synod, with Pastors David Guelzow and David Zier officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be Brett Frye, Mike Miller, Jon Mullen, Joel Mullen, Steve Cain and Kurt Hollar. Memorials may be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church-Mo.
