Frederick "Fred" Alonzo CLINE Jr and Catherine Cleonus ARNEY were married estimated 1941. Catherine Cleonus ARNEY, daughter of Edgar Carl ARNEY and Annie Lobelia LOWMAN, was born on 18 January 1927 in Burke County, North Carolina. She died on 21 November 2011 at the age of 84 in Hickory Village Memory Care, Hickory, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: VALDESE Mrs. Katherine Arney Cline, 84, of Connelly Springs, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at Hickory Village Memory Care, following a period of declining health. Katherine was born Jan. 18, 1927, in Burke County to the late Edgar Carl Arney and Annie Lowman Arney. She was a member of Warlick's Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick A. Cline; a grandson, Todd A. Cline; two sisters, Beulah Hart and Bobbie Abernethy; and two brothers, Fred Arney and Joe Arney. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth L. Cline and Nancy McAuley of Huntersville and Carl W. Cline and wife, Kaye, of Icard; granddaughter, Gina Stowe and husband, Barry, of Conover; grandsons, Scott Cline and wife, Karen, of Icard and Mark Cline and wife, Rhonda, of Rutherford College; granddaughter-in-law, Katrina Cline of Hickory; great-granddaughters, Morgan Cline, Katie Cline, Emma Cline and Briana Ingle and husband, Wes, of Cherryville; great-grand-sons, Austin Cline, Dalton Stowe, Garrett Stowe, Sterling Cline and Hayden Cline; a great-great-granddaugh-ter, Kinsley Ingle; a sister, Mae Rhoney of Hickory; a brother, Wayne Arney of Hildebran; a special niece and caregiver, Anita Newton; and a number of other nieces and nephews. The family would like to send their thanks and appreciation to Hickory Village Memory Care Center for the excellent care she received. A graveside service will be held Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at 3 p.m., at Warlick's Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Gary Murry officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 25, from 2 until 3 p.m., at Warlick's Baptist Church in Connelly Springs and at other times will gather at the residence of Carl and Kaye Cline on Icard School Rd.
