Billy Ralph [Frye] FRY was born on 28 October 1938 in Catawba County, North Carolina.¹⁸⁸⁷ He died on 27 December 2010 at the age of 72 in Catawba Valley Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: NEWTON - Billy Ralph Frye,72, of Coley Fish Pond Road, Newton, passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory. Born Oct. 28, 1938, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Ralph Curtis Frye and Inez Hefner Frye. Mr. Frye was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from MDI in Hickory. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Frye of the home; son, Dennis Frye and wife, Tanya, of Terrell; two grandsons, Sawyer and Coleman Frye; two brothers, Harvey Frye of Newton, Roger Frye and wife, Sharon, of Newton. The funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden, with the Rev. Paul Schronce officiating. Burial will follow in Maiden City Cemetery, Maiden.
