4695. Vickie Lynn SETZER was born on 11 October 1954 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 18 April 2011 at the age of 56 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CONOVER Vickie Lynn Setzer Howard, 56, of Hickory, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba County. After a long battle with lung disease, she has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior and is finally at rest. Vickie was born on Oct. 11, 1954 in Catawba County. She was the daughter of the late Luther Elzie Setzer and Lola Faye Moser Turner. Vickie was a graduate of Bunker Hill High School, and her lifelong passion of plants, birds, and other animals was her pastime. Vickie is survived by her son Christopher A. Arrowood and wife Crystal of Conover; stepson Donnie Howard of Taylorsville; sisters Marsha S. Jones of Hickory, and Karen S. Senter Tygrett and husband James of Conover. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren Joshua and Nicholas Arrowood of Conover; uncles Donald Moser of Claremont, Willie Setzer of Catawba; and numerous cousins and friends. At her request, Vickie's body has been donated to Duke University Teaching Hospital for science. The family would like to thank all of the Hospital and Hospice Staff for all their genuine loving care during Vickie's illness. A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the family.
