Allen Neil WHITMIRE was born on 28 November 1953 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died massive internal hemmorhage on 23 December 2003 at the age of 50 in Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina. He was buried in St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Claremont, Catawba County, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: NEWTON - Allen Neil Whitmire, 50, of West Nineteenth Street in Newton, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at his residence. Born Nov. 28, 1953, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Walter Whitmire Sr. and Minnie Alice Setzer Whitmire. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons, Joshua Whitmire of Newton and Derek Whitmire of Newton, a daughter, Amanda Whitmire of Newton, and two brothers, Walter Whitmire Jr. of Newton and Lloyd Whitmire of Claremont. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. today, Dec. 26, 2003, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church. The Rev. David Byers will officiate and burial will follow. The family will receive from 1:30 to 3 p.m. today at New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 1425 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J. 078009.
