Henry W. HUFFMAN and Annie Elizabeth PROPST were married before 1904. Annie Elizabeth PROPST, daughter of Daniel Elkanah PROPST and Anna Sonora HEFNER, was born on 27 February 1885.250,552 She died on 5 July 1954 at the age of 69 in Catawba County, North Carolina and was buried in Miller's and St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Cemetery.250

Vivian HUFFMAN was born on 21 March 1917 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 21 September 2009 at the age of 92 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Miller's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: Vivian Huffman Hass Mays, 92, of Hickory, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009 at her residence. Born March 21, 1917 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Annie Elizabeth Propst and Henry Huffman. Mrs. Mays was a lifelong member of Millers Lutheran Church and had worked for 27 years at Maxwell Royal Furniture. She also enjoyed her needlework, especially quilting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie Ralph Hass, and second husband, Charles Romey Mays. She is survived by her son, Charles Brant Hass and wife Faye of Mocksville, NC; two daughters: Joyce H. Bolick and husband Charles of Conover, NC, Brenda H. Hughes and husband Ray of Wilmington; grandson, Christopher Hughes of New York, NY; step-grandson, Marty Draughn and wife Patricia of Mocksville, NC; step-great granddaughters: Brittany and Courtney Draughn, both of Mocksville, NC; brother, Everette A. Huffman of Bethlehem; sister, Phyllis H. Huffman and husband J.C. of King, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Millers Lutheran Church with Pastor Luther Knauff officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 – 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Millers Lutheran Church (Heating & Air Conditioning Fund), 2280 12th Ave., NE, Hickory, NC 28601 or Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
