547. Harriet M. HERMAN²⁴⁶ was born on 25 October 1855 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 5 November 1926 at the age of 71 in Alexander County, North Carolina. She was buried in Old Pisgah Community Cem., Bethlehem, Alexander, North Carolina.

Harriet M. HERMAN and Carson Bell SMITH were married on 20 January 1880 in Catawba County, North Carolina. Carson Bell SMITH was born on 17 May 1857 in Alexander County, North Carolina. He died on 17 March 1951 at the age of 93 in Alexander County, North Carolina. He was buried in Old Pisgah Community Cem., Bethlehem, Alexander, North Carolina. Old Pisgah Community Cemetery is located on Cemetery Loop Road in Bethlehem, Alexander, NC. T here are two cemeteries. One is much newer. Located on the North corner of the road. The ol d cemetery is located on the opposite side of the road and about 150 feet from the corner. Th e general condition of the cemetery is fair at best. over half the tombstones are leaning an d many have fallen over. The ground does not seem to be very stable. Much care is needed. The re are many very old stones and many plain rocks marking graves.
The tombstones of Carson Bell Smith and Hariet are located on the west end of the cemetery o n the edge of the road bank adjacent to the short, and steep driveway. Hariets stone is on it 's side laying accross the foundation section. Both are leaning and a new foundation is sore ly needed. This would make a nice service project for the descendants of Bell and Hariet. Let 's hope someone in the family will take and interest and head up the work.
