Brenda Lee SETZER⁹⁵², daughter of Junior Brawley SETZER and Thelma Idelle PARHAM, was born on 28 November 1939 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died of cancer on 11 November 2005 at the age of 65 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. She was buried in May's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Newton, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: MAIDEN - Brenda Lee Herman, 65, of 1893 E. Maiden Road, died Nov. 11, 2005, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born Nov. 28, 1939, in Catawba County, she was a daughter of Thelma Idell Parham Setzer of Maiden and the late Junior Brawley Setzer. A member of Mays Chapel United Methodist Church and a former member of Concordia Lutheran Church for 47 years, she was employed by Ethan Allen as a floor lady. Survivors include her husband, Randy Herman of the home; a son, Finley Randall Herman (Lori) of Maiden; a brother, William Setzer (Ann) of Lincolnton; a sister, Barbara Huitt (Andy) of Maiden; her mother, Thelma Setzer of Maiden; and a grandson, Jarrod Herman of Maiden. The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Ralph Lepley at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005, at Mays Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at the church from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
