Rebecca [Bolch] BOLICK was born on 25 October 1923 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 14 January 2006 at the age of 82 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. She was buried in Mt. Olive Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hickory, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows:879 HICKORY – Rebecca Bolch Seabock, 82, of Twenty-sixth Avenue, NE, Hickory, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley after five months of declining health. Born Oct. 25, 1923, in Catawba County, she was a daughter of Joseph H. and Emma Sigmon Bolch. A member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, she retired from Central Telephone Co. and Sprint after 40 years and eight months. She was a member of Hickory Chapter Order of Eastern Star Chapter 155 and was very active at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, where she was a member of WELCA, the Social Ministry Committee and many other church committees. She worked on the Alter Guild for many years and has been a member of the Hannah Circle and very active with the Soup Kitchen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Cecil Seabock, who died Jan. 5, 2005; three sisters; and four brothers. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and John Schultheis of Midlothian, Va.; three grandsons, William D. Schultheis, Matthew J. Schultheis and Brent J. Schultheis of Midlothian, Va.; a niece and her husband, Libby and Craig Garner of Hickory; a nephew, Jimmy Bolch of Vale; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Bock of Hickory. A memorial service will be conducted by the Revs. David R. Keck and Walter Hitchcock and Vicar Tim Bean at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be sent to Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2780 N.
