3782. Howard Leon CLINE was born on 1 June 1928 in Catawba County, North Carolina.²⁰⁹ He died on 3 January 2006 at the age of 77 in Valley Nursing Center, Taylorsville, North Carolina. Born June 1, 1928 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Leon Augustus and Cora Belle Carpenter Cline. He was a member of Highland United Methodist Church in Hickory, had worked for twenty years with Steele Rulane and retired from Hickory Chair. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June B. Cline; sisters Helen Newsome, Clara Hoyle, and Ruth Cannon; and a brother, Richard Cline. Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-law: Patricia Cline & Jimmie Hamby of Conover Sons & Daughters-in-law: Charles H. and Lynne Cline of Hickory Bob and Carol Cline of Conover Grandchildren: Jamie Hamby, Mindy Hamby, Billy Cline, Joey Cline, Laurie Cline, David Cline Great Grandchildren: Austin Hamby, Cade Hamby, Jaiden Hamby Stephanie Krider, Christina Krider, Chelsea Krider Brittney Krider, Gavin Hamby, Layla Cline Brother & Sister-in-law: Danny and Nina Cline of Stony Point A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2006 at Concordia Lutheran Church. Rev. Donald Oldenburg will officiate and burial will follow in Marvin Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at Drum Funeral Home in Conover. Howard Leon CLINE and Roselee Teresa "June" BATTAFARANO were married on 22 May 1946.²⁰⁹ Roselee Teresa "June" BATTAFARANO, daughter of Joseph BATTAFARANO and Anna BRAUCK, was born on 29 April 1929 in Bel Air, Maryland.²⁰⁹ She died on 26 April 1996 at the age of 66 in Conover, Catawba County, North Carolina.
