John Cecil [Frye] FRY, son of John Lee FRY and Ida May KILLIAN, was born on 5 February 1908 in Catawba, Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 20 May 1982 at the age of 74 in Catawba, Catawba County, North Carolina. He was buried in Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, Catawba County, NC.

5587	i.	Jerry Cecil [Frye] FRY Jr was born on 15 April 1935 in Catawba, Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 17 January 2012 at the age of 76 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY Jerry Cecil Frye, 76, of Hickory, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 at his residence. Born April 15, 1935 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late John Cecil Frye and Mary Sherrill Frye. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Carrier, and a brother, Ted Frye. He was a member of Penelope Baptist Church in Hickory and had retired from Estes Freight Lines. Mr. Frye is survived by his wife, Edith Marie Kirby Frye of the home; a brother, W. "Joe" Frye of Hickory; a sister, Nancy Frye of Hickory; and his faithful companion, Bear, of the home. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Penelope Baptist Church with the Revs. Gary Murray and Larry McCracken officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to the Out of the Ashes Fund, Penelope Baptist Church, 3310 Main Ave., NW, Hickory, NC 28601. Graveside military honors will be performed by American Legion Post 48.
