Tabitha Nicole SPURLIN was born on 5 March 1983 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 17 November 2010 at the age of 27 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: CATAWBA - Tabitha Nicole Spurlin, 27, of Catawba, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Tabitha was born March 5, 1983, in Catawba County. She was a 2001 Bandys High School graduate and started the first Bandys High School Band website. She had a degree in early child development and pharmaceutical technology. She enjoyed racing and was employed at 127 Speedway in Bethlehem. Tabitha was preceded in death by her dad, Joseph Wylie Spurlin; and her father, Billy Harold Killian Jr. Survivors include her mother, Sonya Eller Spurlin of Catawba; a brother, Joseph Lee Spurlin of Catawba; half-sister, Chonta McCall of Sherrills Ford; grandparents, Rebecca Eller of Newton, Elizabeth Williams of Hickory, Billy Harold Killian Sr., and Hayesalene McAllister Killian of Catawba; boyfriend, Jerry Kanipe Jr. of Conover; and her canine kids, Diesel Boy and Baby Girl "BG." A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, in the chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the Spurlin family at www.drumfuneralhome.com.
