4658. Glenn Samuel SIGMON⁹⁵² was born on 3 April 1926 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died after a period of declining health on 1 June 2005 at the age of 79 in Brian Center East, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. He was buried in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Conover, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: CONOVER - Glenn Samuel Sigmon, 79, of Emmanuel Church Road, Conover, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at Brian Center-East in Hickory after a period of declining health. Born April 3, 1926, in Catawba County, he was a son of the late Samuel A. Sigmon and Vera Setzer Sigmon. He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Conover and was retired from Southern Furniture Co. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Bumgarner. He is survived by his wife, Faye Lail Sigmon of the home; two sons, Gary W. Sigmon and wife, Donna, of Claremont and Rick S. Sigmon and wife, Angel, of Conover; a brother, Vernon E. Sigmon of Newton; and two grandchildren, Garrick and Maranda Sigmon of Conover. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Conover, with Pastor Justin Kane officiating. The family will remain at the church following the service. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2440 Emmanuel Church Road, Conover, N.C. 28613.
