3232. Charles C. COULTER was born on 24 May 1915 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 25 July 2003 at the age of 88 in Lutheran Home West, Hickory, North Carolina. He was buried in St. Paul's Memorial Park, Newton, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: NEWTON - Charles Craig Coulter, 88, of N.C. Lutheran Home West, died Friday, July 25, 2003, at the Lutheran Home. Born May 24, 1915, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Claudius Craig and Lillian SIGMON Coulter. He was a member of St. Paul's Reformed Church and was retired from the textile industry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Ila Mae Coulter; a son, William Leroy Coulter; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Coulter and husband, Edward, of Charlotte; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2003, in St. Paul's Memorial Park in Startown. The Rev. James R. Stephenson will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Reformed Church, 3562 Startown Road, Newton, N.C. 28658. Charles C. COULTER and Edith BLACKBURN were married estimated 1937. Edith BLACKBURN was born on 29 October 1918 in St. Paul, Virginia. She died on 19 November 2007 at the age of 89 in Brian Center East, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in May's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Newton, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: CONOVER - Edith Blackburn Coulter, 89, of Conover, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at the Brian Center-Hickory East. She was born Oct. 29, 1918, in St. Paul, Va., the daughter of the late Saul Blackburn and Lilly Holden Blackburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Craig Coulter; sons, Jimmy Dobish, Tony Dobish and Freddie Charles Coulter; a grandson, Kirt Bolick Jr.; five sisters; and three brothers. Survivors include daughters, Marie Boyce of Conover, Mary Bolick of Maiden and Judy Stewart of Catawba; sons, Frank Blackburn of Taylorsville and Steve Coulter of Lincolnton; and 18 grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, in Mays Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1707 Mays Chapel Church Road, Maiden, N.C. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m., at Drum Funeral Home in Conover. Tassie Marie COULTER was born on 19 October 1955 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 15 March 2012 at the age of 56 in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY Tassie Marie Coulter Boyce, 56, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Tassie was born Oct. 19, 1955 in Catawba County. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith Blackburn Coulter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Frank Blackburn, Fred Coulter, Tony Dobish and Jimmy Blackburn. Survivors include a daughter, Brandy B. Nash and her husband, John Charles Nash, Jr. of Greensboro; brother, Steven Coulter and his wife, Angie of Lincolnton; sisters, Mary Bolick of Maiden and Judy Stewart and her husband, James of Catawba; former husband of 32 years, Kenneth Boyce of Conover; and new life partner, Chad Cromer of Charleston, S.C. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25, at Christ Church, 1800 Fairgrove Church Rd., Conover, NC.
