2919. Stella HERMAN was born on 21 August 1912 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 3 February 2004 at the age of 91 in Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. She was buried in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hickory, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - Stella Herman Moore, 91, of Kool Park Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at Frye Regional Medical Center after declining health for several months. Born Aug. 21, 1912, in Catawba County, she was a daughter of the late Preston and Ethel Munday Herman. A member of Miller’s Lutheran Church, she worked for Kiser-Roth Hosiery for 25 years and Carpenter Decorating for many years, retiring at age 72 from Craft Work Guilds, LTD. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Cloyd Moore; three infant children, Leslie Darlene Moore, Lester Cloyd Moore and Bobby Allen Moore; two sons, Cloyd Allen Moore and Charlie Eugene Moore; a grandson, Jeff Moore; a granddaughter, Lucinda Moore; a great-great-grandson, Hunter Matthew McConnell; two sisters, Beola Hood and Christine Bowman; and a brother, Murney Herman. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Moore Minyard Coffey Overcash of Conover; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Moore and wife, Shirley, Roger Moore and wife, Billie Ray, and Gladys Moore of Taylorsville, Jerry Moore and wife, Shirley, of Claremont, Danny Moore and wife, Patsy, John Moore and wife, Gloria, and Virginia Dean Moore of Hickory; a sister, Sadie Townsend and husband, Frank, of Long View; a brother, George Herman and wife, Kitty, of Hickory; 32 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted by the Revs. C. Pierson Shaw, Craig Sigmon and Tim Shook at 3 p.m. Saturday at Miller’s Lutheran Church. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Minyard Jr., Kenneth Minyard, Andrew Moore, Michael Eugene Moore, Josh Moore, Jonathan Moore, Greg Moore and Randy Moore. The family will be at the church from noon to 2:45 p.m. Saturday.
