Lois Inez MOSER, daughter of Samuel Loy MOSER and Jennie C. "Katie" SIGMON, was born on 30 June 1916 in Catawba County, North Carolina.⁸⁹⁵ She died on 11 October 2011 at the age of 95 in Abernethy Laurels, Newton, North Carolina. She was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY Lois Moser Bost, 95, of Abernethy Laurels in Newton passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011. Mrs. Bost was born June 30, 1916 in Catawba county to the late Samuel L. and Katie Sigmon Moser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Bost, Sr.; two sons, James Richard Bost, Jr. and Norman Lewis Bost; two sisters, Eva Miller and Joan Huffman. She was a member of Corinth Reformed Church, an avid gardner who loved roses and was respectfully known as the "Rose Lady". Survivors include two sisters, Helen Cloninger and Betty Null, both of Claremont; six nieces and three nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m. at Corinth Reformed Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Thompson and the Rev. Bill Howell officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Abernethy Laurels for their care for Lois during her residency there.
