Allen Deal SETZER and Margaret Earline LAIL were married on 8 November 1941.¹²²⁴ Margaret Earline LAIL, daughter of Clarence Leroy LAIL and Bertha Espa HEFNER, was born on 13 June 1919 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 14 May 2004 at the age of 84 in Maiden, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Catfish community, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: MAIDEN - Margaret Lail SETZER, 84, of Buffalo Shoals Road, passed away Friday, May 14, 2004, at her residence. Born June 13, 1919, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Bertha Hefner Lail. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen D. SETZER. Survivors include two daughters, Marcell S. Hewitt and husband, Joe, of Maiden and LeeElla S. London of Hickory; three brothers, Richard L. Lail of Milford, Ohio, Ervin C. Lail of Cleves, Ohio, and Harrel E. Lail of Cleves, Ohio; a sister, Aileen L. Kenney of Bradenton, Fla.; three granddaughters, Pam H. Saunders, Ginger H. Biggerstaff and Emily A. London; and three great-grandchildren, Miss Alex Saunders and Dylan and Davis Biggerstaff. The funeral service will be held Monday at 4 p.m at Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont with Pastor Craig Schultz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, N.C. 28658.
