Ralph W. STARR was born about 1926 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 2 April 2006 at the age of 80 in Saratoga, Wyoming. His obituary appeared as follows: SARATOGA, Wyo. - Ralph W. Starr, 80, of Saratoga, Wyo., formerly of Hickory, N.C., died April 2, 2006, at his residence in Wyoming following a brief illness. Born in Hickory, N.C., he was the son of the late Curtis and Mary Starr. He had three brothers, Glenn, Carl and Curtis Starr Jr.; and three sisters, Verna Sigmon, Clara Good and Elizabeth Ward. After moving to Wyoming, he met and married Merle Ward. They had four children, Marilyn, Bill, David and Patty. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Merle Starr; a daughter, Marilyn Starr; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Kim Starr; and four grandchildren, all of Saratoga, Wyo. He is also survived by two sisters, Clara Good and husband, James, and Elizabeth Ward and husband, Henry, both of Hickory.
