Her obituary appeared as follows: GRANITE FALLS - Leona Kirby Hunsucker, 97, of Granite Falls, after a long life, went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 22, 2006. She was born March 23, 1908, in Caldwell County to the late James D. Kirby and Martha Louise Chester Kirby. Mrs. Hunsucker was the co-owner and operator of Quality Cleaners, where she retired after 32 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Granite Falls and a charter member of the Granite Falls Garden Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus E. Hunsucker; two sisters; and three brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Jean Hunsucker Craig and husband, Herbert, of Cartersville, Ga., and Antha Hunsucker Brock of Hickory; and two grandsons, Jeffrey Paul Brock and wife, Cheryl, of Claremont and John Cletus Brock and wife, Grace, of Connelly Springs. The funeral service for Mrs. Hunsucker will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006, at First Baptist Church of Granite Falls, with the Rev. Dr. Robert B. Evans Jr. officiating. She will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Pinecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight, Friday, March 24, 2006, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mackie-High Funeral Home in Granite Falls. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Granite Falls, P.O.
