5547. James Brady LUTZ Jr was born on 5 December 1936 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 6 May 2009 at the age of 72 in Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina. He was buried in New Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. His obituary appeared as follows: NEWTON - James Brady "Jim" Lutz Jr., 72, of Newton, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at his residence. Born Dec. 5, 1936, in Catawba County, he was the son of James B. Lutz Sr. and the late Margaret Bost Lutz. He was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church and retired from the paving industry. Survivors include his father, James B. Lutz Sr.; his wife, Ann Reagan Lutz of Newton; sisters, Ann Biggs and husband, Donald, Frances Abernethy and husband, Charles, and Linda Hefner, all of Newton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2009, at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church. The Rev. Randall Cauble will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Lawing, Dennis Lawing, Michael Lawing, Mark Lawing, Bill Elder and Donald Teague. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight, Friday, May 8, 2009, at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.
