Brian Christopher DEAL was born on 19 March 1974.1049 He died on 29 August 2010 at the age of 36 in Catawba County, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: Brian C. "Philly" Deal, 36, of Hickory, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born March 19, 1974 in Catawba County to Frank E. Deal and Paula Teague Shinn and was a truck driver for Aaron’s Rent to Own. Brian was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Hickory. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mack C. Teague, and his paternal grandfather, Norman Lester Deal, Sr. Survivors include his mother, Paula Teague Shinn and fiancé, Ronald Dale McNeill of Catawba; father, Frank E. Deal and wife, Patricia of Swansboro, NC; maternal grandmother, Pauline Teague of Hickory; paternal grandmother, Virginia Deal of Hickory; sister, Christy Deal Dollarhide and husband, Coleman of Conover; niece, Casey Ann Dollarhide; nephews, Carson Ray Dollarhide and Collin Ray Dollarhide; and numerous aunts, uncles and friends. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover with Rev. Norman L. Deal, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Asthma Foundation, 4 Embarcadero Center, Suite 3150, San Francisco, CA 94111 (415.404.3420).
