She was buried in St. Timothy Lutheran Church Cemetery, Catawba County, North Carolina. Georgia Eckard Frye, 80, of 2651 34th St. Pl. NE, Hickory, NC, died Monday, March 17, 2003 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born June 13, 1922 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Ezley and Julia Hefner Eckard. She was a homemaker and a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lee Frye, a son, Kenneth Frye and an infant son, and four sisters. Survivors include: 2 daughters & sons-in-law: Nellie and Leroy Gilliam of Hickory, NC. Priscilla and John Carswell of Waynesville, NC; 4 sons & daughters-in-law: Robert and Martha Frye of Bethlehem, NC; Gary and Teresa Frye of Icard, NC; David and Patricia Frye of Hickory, NC; Larry Frye of Hickory, NC; 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 20, 2003 at Gospel Light Baptist Church. The Rev. Wayne Blanton will officiate and burial will be in St. Timothy Lutheran Church Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 19, 2003 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church. Pallbearers will be: Ted Gilliam, David Gabbard, Paul Gabbard, Job Gilliam, Carl Frye, Jonathan Cooke, Larry Frye, Jr. Memorials may be made to: Gospel Light Baptist Church, P.O.
